Pods are completely self-contained for mechanical services and rely only on centralized chilled water and electricity. This means that even conventional warehouse construction or "grey space" can provide the support and a proper environment necessary for these classified environments to produce biotherapeutics. Modules can also provide the ultimate flexibility for multi-product or patient specific manufacturing.
Dimensions
Construction Modules are constructed from a welded aluminum floor and frame providing tremendous structural integrity and a long service life. Modules can accommodate large bioprocess equipment such as 2,000 liter bioreactors and disk stack centrifuges. Walls are polypropylene plastic with welded seams and coved corners, (rated for up to BSL 3 environments), and have a monolithic epoxy floor. Pods have monolithic epoxy walls with coved corners. Movement Modules are equipped with air bearings for effortless placement and precise alignment in tight spaces. Connections The zero drip quick connections on the exterior of the Pod allow the Pod to be connected to water and electricity in a matter of seconds. No other connecting to the outside environment is required. Mechanical Services HVAC Completely redundant air handling systems can provide support for ISO 2 up to ISO 7 environmental quality. Dual air handlers, exhaust fans, and control systems give 100% fail-over protection for air handling systems and filters. Inlet air is pre-filtered and can accommodate multiple filtration requirements. All modules have bag-in/bag-out exhaust filtration systems. HEPA or ULPA filtration is provided and can populate up to 95% of the ceiling area. Cooling is provided by a central chilled water plant and piped to each module. Components are able to be isolated and serviced with no interruption of ventilation for the module. The HVAC system provides a three level pressure cascade from the processing area to the gown/de-gown rooms and to the connecting hallway or structure. Electrical Services All modules are serviced by a dual feed buss system with a standard automatic transfer switch ideal for dual feed electrical grids and auxiliary emergency power systems. Energy use is monitored by the module management system. Plumbing Modules have standard hook-ups for biotherapeutic grade water, compressed air, clean steam, CO2 and other custom services. BSL Levels All Pods are available in a number of BSL levels based on your specific needs. cGMP If your process requires cGMP quality, G-Con Pods are easily provided as such. Air Quality Variations in air quality are also available and can be customized to your company's process needs. Automation G-Con Pods are fully automated in order to simplify all Pod operations. |
 Mega Pod Dimensions: 36' x 43' and provides a 36' x 25' (900 sq. ft.) working environment, gown and de-gown areas, and a separate machanical support area. Modules provide 8' to 18' of height depending on the need. |
