I like the G-CON POD concept, but I've never bought a cleanroom... where should I start?

The G-CON team is ready to help and has a wealth of experience with team members that understand many different pharmaceutical and biotech process applications. At G-CON we approach our projects as a collaboration with each of our clients, working closely with them to develop the best solution for their process.

Our first step is to discuss the clients’ process so we can understand the equipment needed to include in the cleanroom, as well as the area, environmental, and any segregation requirements. Once we have a general understanding of the client’s requirements, we’ll be able to develop a preliminary conceptual layout. Then, we will work together with our clients to modify the layout as needed in order to then generate a budget estimate for the PODs.

PODs offer several advantages as your first cleanroom.

  • Ease of scalability. The POD concept allows a client to start with just one POD and add additional cleanroom capacity when required.

  • Autonomous. PODs offer a simple solution as they include a mechanical space that has fire suppression, HVAC, a control panel, and utility connections.

  • Economics. G-CON PODs are considered mobile equipment and can be depreciated as equipment (5-7 years). Also, G-CON does have a leasing partner to allow our customers to lease the PODs as equipment.
