What types of Architectural Finishes do the PODs come with?
By: Dennis Powers, Vice President of Business Development and Sales Engineering
G-CON can design and fabricate PODs to incorporate a variety of architectural finishes for walls, floors and ceilings in order to meet the different process application and project needs. There are also standard options available for doors and windows. The G-CON engineering team reviews the client requirements at the start of every project to confirm the appropriate finishes and options required for their facility cleanrooms.
The POD walls can be monolithic epoxy coated aluminum construction or a uPVC panel system, which are provided by suppliers like AES and installed in the PODs at the G-CON factory. In wall return ducts or external 304 stainless steel return chases can be provided. The POD ceiling can be either a powder coated aluminum T-Grid system or solid uPVC construction, both designed to integrate the terminal HEPA filter modules and cleanroom light fixtures. Flooring options for the PODs include Nora flooring system, monolithic epoxy, or vinyl sheet flooring. For all configurations, the final installed floor is fully sealed.
Options for door finishes include powder coated aluminum, 304 stainless steel, glass, or molded fiberglass. All door options can be provided with integrated closers, interlocks, and hardware as specified by the project. For material airlocks, high speed cGMP roll up doors can also be provided to eliminate door swings and optimize space utilization.
